RebelCadet Student Blogs--Quarter Project

The culminating assignment for the RebelCadets is to create a blog of their own. Students are to email me once their blog is up and functioning. I will place links to their projects on the RebelCadet blog.

Assignment: to "build a blog" for use in an elementary school classroom. Worth 100 points.

  • Use www.blogger.com You already have an account...now click on "Create a blog."
  • Choose a blog title and a blogspot address.
  • Choose a template.
  • Write the description, goal, mission, object of your blog...find this under "Settings" on the Dashboard.
  • Set your archive to none...find this under "Archiving."
  • Save your settings.

  • Compose 5 active posts, 1 draft post (Posting). Posts should relate to the description/topic of your blog.
  • Use illustrations (clip art, photos, etc.) for each post
  • Work with varying text size, style, color
  • Incorporate 2 links to other sites relevant to your blog--if your blog is about sea life, add links sending your reader to other locations to learn more

  • View the blogs of 3 other cadets and post comments on each. These posts will be visible when I grade the blogs.

  • Write a one paragraph evaluation of the blogging experience in your email to me when you have completed the project. Include comments about your weekly assignments and your blog itself.
